Nefertiti was an Egyptian queen who ruled alongside Pharaoh Akhenaten from 1353 to 1336 BCE, and may have ruled the New Kingdom outright after her husband’s death. She was the mother of King Tut, and was said to have been as wise as she was beautiful. All the depictions of Queen Nefertiti show her with her crown. I wanted to show the Queen with her hair down, celebrating the coming of spring.
